RAIDar does not cache your NAS information. Factory defaulting would have resolved this issue, so it doesn't appear to be the NAS having the problem.
Most of the time, it is your computer firewall that has a problem. What OS are you using? If using Windows Vista to Windows 8, check to see your Network and Sharing Center and make sure you're not set to a public network location.
