ReadyNas Duo V2 setup nightmare
Hi , my first attempt to set up a Netgear NAS box and quite possibly my last , Trying to set up a new duo V2 with one Samsung F1 750Gb hard drive. This works fine in a Synology and D-link Nas box ...

Competing NAS offerings also have compatibility lists. Some drives don't work well in RAID arrays. Particularly some WD Green disks which have "green" features. Things like disks putting themselves to sleep and then as a result being considered dead aren't good.
Are you sure you have the v2?
Factory default may take a while but you can monitor the progress in RAIDar
Hard drive 100% tested ok. Defo got Duo V2 (USB 3 on the back)
When the RAIDar stated bad disk, the LED 1 drive light is constantly blinking blue - is it possible its still setting up? Also my unit won't power down without taking out the power cable.
