ReadyNas Duo V2 setup nightmare
Hi , my first attempt to set up a Netgear NAS box and quite possibly my last , Trying to set up a new duo V2 with one Samsung F1 750Gb hard drive. This works fine in a Synology and D-link Nas box ...

Right so after deleting all partitions and doing a slow format in windows I went for a factory restart.
First status from Nas box is Booting, - 30 seconds
Then testing Disks , green flashing light on hard drive on RAIDar - 60 seconds
Then went to installing, Green LED constantly on - 2 minutes later I was able to enter setup :D :D :D
Setting up JBOD as I type.
I think my problem was that when I deleted all the partitions before , there was 8mb stuck unallocated. I used disk management in windows 7 to merge this and formatted.
Fussy unit innit.
