READYNAS Duo v2

Question

Can anybody help? I'm trying to setup a backup on my ReadyNAS as follows:

Source: ReadyNAS/USB_HDD_1

Destination: MyPC/u$/ReadyNAS

When it starts backing up, instead of backuping up to U:\ReadyNAS it backs up to U:\MWOOD1\u$\ReadyNAS.

Anybody know how to stop this?

Share the ReadyNAS folder on the PC, and drop the U$ in the backup job configuration.

I would like to use the built in Administrator share u$ if possible.

If I go the opposite way from MyPC/u$ to the ReadyNAS it works fine.

FWIW, you could alternatively access the share using u$ from another Windows PC in file explorer,&nbsp; and note the full path name there.

U$ is a local variable on the PC.&nbsp; The NAS has no idea what it's value is and it does not pass in a Linux based backup job as a variable name the PC can fill in.&nbsp; So, it's taken literally.&nbsp; You need to replace it with it's value on the PC.&nbsp;&nbsp;StephenB&nbsp;has suggested one way to figure that out.
