ReadyNas Duo Vs 1 Seagate Disks
Our Disk 1 Seagate 250GB disk has died and we have to replace it. Disk 2 is still ok. Can we replace this with a bigger disk (ie 1 TB), or does it have to be another 250gb?
After updating from 4.1.6 to 4.1.15 the new disk has been recognised and the volume is currently resyncing.

You can replace it with 1 TB (or even a 2 TB) disk, but the volume won't expand unless you replace the second disk with one of the same size.

Thanks so much Stephen, much appreciated. We'll go and get one now!

I recommend NAS-purposed drives (WDC Red or Seagate IronWolf).
