ReadyNAS keeps disppearing from Tivo

Didn't fix the problem, the segmentation fault is at a different address now though:

After doing a little more troubleshooting, I did discover what's causing minidlna to crash, one of the things I suspected ...

I have a network connected DirecTV TiVo HR10-250 that appears to broadcast an HMO packet that minidlna doesn't error handle correctly.

Sounds like an ugly un-handled pointer coding problem in minidlna ...

Yes, indeed there is a potential problem in that area. Can you try this addon?

After reading this thread, I am suspecting it might be my DirecTV HR34 Home Media Center, or the HR22. Both are connected to my network.

I havent tried any of the addons yet, any success stories yet?

fixed my issue of loosing contact between SmartTV and ReayNas Ultra every few minutes. for the first time in almost a year, able to watch a show from start to finish.

is there a SPARC version of this update as i am running into very similar issues.
- Server disappearing
- not finding any new files
and now missing most of my old files.

im at work now so i cant really check it out if it is working at serving files. i will post back an update

OK so this pre release ReadyDLNA version fixed and issue I was having with my 5TB media collection was making the scanning process choke on a lot of files that it had already scanned.

Only thing different was the addition of another 1TB of video files. That seemed to hork everything. Even after I moved the new video files out of the media directory.

I spent most of my day today going through the minidlna debug output to see what it was choking on. Then found this post, installed the package and it fixed everything in my original 5TB collection.

Everything looks good from my end now.
