ReadyNAS LED patterns
http://www.readynas.com/forum/faq.php#What_does_this_light_pattern_mean%3F_%28LED%29 Check our FAQ, HCL and more
- Sep 11, 2008Until I post the FAQ, here is the info for reference:
LED blink behavior for 2 disk systems is three quick blinks of all disk LEDs and the backup LED, followed by an 1s delay, followed by a number of slow blinks. The number of slow blinks will be the error code.
Current error codes:
1 - Vendor mismatch
2 - No disks detected
3 - Bad contents on root partition of disks
4 - Flash error
5 - Unsupported RAID configuration

After a power outage (I have a UPS but it ran out of juice) my ReadyNAS Duo is presenting the following LED pattern: 5 green disk 1 blinks followed by 3 blue power button fast blinks. This patterns repeats forever and I can't ping or RAIDar the unit. I have removed both disks and the behavior is the same. It looks like it's an internal check (memory?) that fails and the boot can't continue... Any ideas? Thanks!
