ReadyNas NV+ 1.0 always has been very slow

You are exactly correct. I was watching the CPU during rsync on ReadyNas and it was pegged at 98%. At that time the best transfer rates I saw were 4.5MB/sec, but for the most part they were hovering around 3MB/sec. Once I switched to NFS and used a cp command, the network traffic is spiking to 40+MB/sec. So, I guess the CPU in ReadyNas is good for serving files, but could be a bit slow for the requirements of rsync.
