ReadyNas NV+ admin password issues

I recently purchased a new Yamaha home theater receiver, which won't play files from my ReadyNas.  In researching that issue I realized I need to perform a firmware upgrade as I am quite out of date running 4.1.10.  I did an OS reinstall as I couldn't remember my password.  After the reinstall, I am stil unable to access the settings via Raidar receiving an incorrect username/pw error.  I am a relative novice here - apologies upfront if the answer is in a previous thread though I've not found it.  Assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

    For 4.x software, the default admin user is admin and the password is netgear1

      Ah...a solution that simple.  Thanks so much, Sandshark.  Everything I had read listed "password" as the default.  Much appreciated.

        Hello bbrian30,

         

        Default password of ReadyNAS OS5 and ReadyNAS OS6 is password. You are using a ReadyNAS OS4 which uses netgear1 for default password. :)
