ReadyNAS NV+ (RND4000) - Volume expansion hung?
I have an old RND4000 which I'm in the process of expanding from it's original 4 x 1TB Seagate to 4 x 2TB Hitachi disks.
I updated to RAIDiator 4.1.16 (most recent available for this old model) and then I replaced each of the 1TB Seagate drives one at a time with the 2TB Hitachi drives (HDS722020ALA330 which are on the compatibility list) and they went through the initialization and resync process (which took about 9.5 hours per disk). Once that was completed (successfully, no errors), I rebooted the ReadyNAS so it would go through the X-RAID volume expansion process. It's been sitting at this stage since then (just over 30 hours now) with the power button light blinking and "Booting Please wait..." showing on the front display.
How long should this process take (prior to reboot, ~2.2TB out of 2.7TB used, I don't know number of files, etc)? Is there any way to get information on what it's doing?
It's not reachable on the network so the web gui is not accessible. I assume that's normal during the volume expansion process, but I don't know if that's a correct assumption.
Thanks in advance for any help!

30 hours is too long. What status is RAIDar giving you? https://kb.netgear.com/20684/ReadyNAS-Downloads

RAIDar shows nothing because it's not reachable on the network.
From some other discussions, it almost sounds like this is stuck at some stage prior to the volume expansion happening? I saw a post where the display indicated expansion was in process (and stuck at 0% for a long time) ... mine is not even doing that. No drive LEDs lit, fan on full, power light blinking and front display message still at "Booting, please wait ...".
Safe to power off and power back on? If so, just hold the power button until it turns off or ?

Sometimes it will - since it uses broadcast ethernet packets to get status, and not IP.

Not sure it's safe, but at some point you will have to. I'd hold the power button until it turns off.
