ReadyNAS NV+ V1 email alert setup - internal not working
I'm trying to set up the email alerts on my NV+. It is connected to my netword through a Netgear FVS338 router. When I tried the test message to my Comcast email account, nothing arrived. So my guess is either I am not setting it up correctly or the router is blocking the email. Can anyone tell me how to set it up using Comcast email outgoing server? The instructions are not clear to me in the manual.

email provider: custom
Under advanced options, set
SMTP server: smtp.comcast.net
SMTP port:465
Use TLS: checked.
If that fails try
SMTP port:587
