ReadyNAS NV+ v2 does not recognise ANY drives
Hi all,
After installing a brand new ReadyNAS NV+ v2 last week I couldn't get it working properly with 2 x WD Green HDD's (1TB SATA). I was told that these HDD's don't work well with ReadyNAS so for the time being I installed an old Seagate 160GB SATA.
I arrived back to it this morning to hear a 'clunk' noise from the HDD. Thought the HDD may have been dead as it was an old one, but when I powered it up, I kept getting a "no drives found" message when I inserted ANY HDD (I tried 3 HDD's in all of the 4 bays). The NAS does not power up any HDD's.
Is it likely I have a faulty unit? I have e-mailed the supplier today to request a refund - I have no faith in this product... even if I am just un-lucky.
I tried all the usual Factory Reset / OS re-install etc - No matter what no drives are detected, and the drives to not spin up when inserted
