ReadyNAS NV+ v2 with 5.3.5: bugs in DLNA scanning
The (re)scan of files in DLNA has some problems (from unpn-av.log):
1. Several lines like the following:
[2012/05/26 07:03:31] sql.c:41: error: SQL ERROR 1 [near "d": syntax error]
INSERT into OBJECTS (OBJECT_ID, PARENT_ID, REF_ID, CLASS, DETAIL_ID, NAME) VALUES ('e focus on the brief Tut radio spot which follows, I'd guess that this was recorded circa mid-1960s. Tut's Dobro really gives the band a nice bounce. Try as I might, I couldn't find any information on Kallie Jean; seems that there were never any formal issues of her fine singing. The tape ends with a short radio spot with Tut talking about his 1965 World Pacific LP "Dobro Country" recorded in California with Clarence and Roland White. - SPPS Archive Reel #180 Kallie Jean Widener, Aiken SC (with Tut Taylor and Band) Circa 1965:$687420646E612073', 'e focus on the brief Tut radio spot which follows, I'd guess that this was recorded circa mid-1960s. --- Looks like it is the apostrophes in the text that cause the trouble - apostrophes needs to be escaped if used inside an element in an SQL statement. A better alternative is using SQL statement with parameters - then escaping special characters is not necessary.
2. Several error messages that does not tell what file is being scanned - examples:
[2012/05/26 07:30:16] tagutils/tagutils-asf.c:420: error: Not a valid header
[2012/05/26 08:47:14] tagutils/tagutils-ogg.c:189: warn: Malformed vorbis strem.
[2012/05/26 08:53:10] tagutils/tagutils-plist.c:128: error: Playlist looks bad (unprintable characters)

- de_niroGuideYou might need try this addon to rebuild database of your media library
http://rnasguide.com/wp-content/addons/ ... .1-arm.bin - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredNo need for that add-on. There is now the option to do a manual rescan via the Dashboard now.

Thanks,I found this option on service page. - kegerdalAspirantWhat about the problems/bugs during DLNA scan that I reported (1st post in this thread)? Will they be fixed anytime soon?
Also, DLNA scan does not detect folder rename ( reported in viewtopic.php?f=18&t=63179 ).
Any hope for a fix? - punsterrAspirant

I don't see the Rescan option on the Dashboard. Is the Dashboard version supposed to upgrade automatically if running 5.3.5? I have upgraded the firmware, but my Dashboard version still shows 1.0.0.224. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredOpen the Dashboard and click Configure. Under System > Overview > Services, click on the ReadyDLNA button. Next to the Auto Scan option there should be the option to enable/disable it and to the right of that there should be a refresh button you can click to do a Manual Rescan.
If you don't see this, then the old version of the Dashboard is cached. Clear your web browser cache (e.g. Temporary Internet Files in Internet Explorer or Safari > Empty Cache in Safari) close your web browser, reopen the Dashboard and you should see the new options.
Btw I have disabled the link to the add-on as it's no longer needed. Best to use the official option in the Dashboard.
