ReadyNAS NV+ v2
When my RedyNAS NV+ refused to respond I disconected the powercable. When I connected it again there where a sparking sound and the NAS did not start again...Probarbly the powerunit went to meet it´s maker...
I bought a RedyNAS NV+ v2 and put my three 2T discs in. An error message was the only thing i got from the NAS. It said: "Error: could not mount root d" I need the information on the discs so if there is an sollution please let me now. I put a new 2T disc in the NAS and it work´s perfect.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhen did you purchase your NV+ (v1)?
Is the serial number of the NV+ (v1) in this range?: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10259
The NV+ (v1) and NV+ v2 are very, very different products and the RAID format is different so you can't migrate the disks across from a v1 to a v2. - Esset1AspirantSorry, I looked on my device and the lable on the back says ReadyNAS RND4000 v3. Does that make it better?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThat's a NV+ v1 hardware revision 3. See How to tell whether I have a Duo v1 or Duo v2 or NV+ v1 or NV+ v2
HW Revision 3 was the last revision of the NV+ v1 so there's a fair chance your unit might be still be under warranty. Is it registered at my.netgear.com? When did you purchase it? Depending on the date of purchase your unit would either have a 5 year or 3 year warranty. - Esset1AspirantIt´s not older than 2 years. The serialnumber is <REMOVED>
