ReadyNAS NV+ won't power up

Yes, I know this is very old but I am hoping...  I have replaced the power supply and the on-board battery and there is still no life to it.  At this point, I really just want to get the data off the 4x 1T drives but I don't know how to do that short of getting it powered back up.

Help anyone?  I'm willing to pay for service, if I knew where to go.  And to think, I am in the midst of Silicon Valley...

Thanks!!

There is a pin-out mod needed for the NV+

There are some supplies that have been pre-modified - did you get one of those?

    If not, details are here:

You could connect the drives to a Windows PC using a 4-bay USB enclosure (no need for hardware RAID, and that can get in the way).  Then use R-Studio to offload the data.

It looks like all versions support EXT, LVM, and RAID (which is what you need).

This is incredibly helpful and I suspect is the issue, since it is a stock power supply.  I'll work on it later today.  Thank you!!!

Let me know of a favorite charity.  If this works, I'll make a donation in your honor.  I love the wisdom of the network.

Since you haven't responded, I'll make the donation to The United Way, since that is generally viewed as positive by everyone.

That of course is fine.  Or your local food pantry.
