Didn't you already ask this? The documentation says yes, though I'm not a replicate user.

You have another option btw, you can set up secure rsync over ssh for backup. This requires some port forwarding in your destination system's router, and if the RN516 is behind a corporate firewall, the IT folks might also need to enable passthrough in the firewall.

I did call pre-sales support today and the fellow confirmed that yes indeed this is very possible. FWIW I haven't recommended the combo to my customer yet; that was just about the final thing I needed to investigate on his behalf.

Now I think I like that setup! I believe I'll be giving it some serious mulling over.
