ReadyNAS OS6 Log Location SSH

Question

Hi all,&nbsp;Whilst I can download all the logs on older 4.2 releases you could easily see all the logs including kernel and dmesg logs under /var/logs. However, on OS 6 this location contains very limited logs.&nbsp;Does anybody know where they have moved to?&nbsp;Thanks...

OS6 uses systemd, so you view the logs using journalctl.

Thanks.&nbsp;I need to find some guides on using it to show specifics then...&nbsp;There must be a place where the old style logs are kept since this is what you get when the logs are downloaded through frontview.

Some are still in /var/log. My guess is that the others are constructed on the fly (extracted via journalctl).&nbsp;

You could use e.g.&nbsp;

# journalctl -a --no-pager --lines 5000 _SYSTEMD_UNIT=readynasd.service

Thanks very much...&nbsp;Do you know if there is any documentation on how to retrieve all relevant logs?&nbsp;Are the original style logs stored anywhere? When you download them from the GUI you get them in the traditional format.
