ReadyNAS Photos II not sending Invites #24755757
I have a ReadyNAS NVX Pioneer Edition which I have had for around 5 years. It is currently running the latest firmware (RAIDiator 4.2.27). I also have the latest version of the ReadyNAS Photos II add-on (v1.0.6) along with Transmission, Python, Teaming Plug in, and Logitech Media Server (Squeezebox).
The issue I am having is that when I send Invites (method = Cog Icon on Album -> "Share" -> add message and email address either manually or from address book -> "Send") it confirms via a pop-up that "Invite Sent" but the email never arrives. I have tested locally with ie11 and Firefox 35 as well as remotely with ie10 with the same result. This has been randomly occurring for a couple of years now but seems to have got worse to the point where I cannot send invites anymore to anyone at all. I can confirm that all configuration of ReadyNAS Photos II (aka RNP2) is correct and working as tested by both the two "Diagnose" buttons and also the fact I can remotely access RNP2. Also, my ReadyNAS successfully send emails to be about system events (firmware updates, disc scrubbing etc), as does the Transmission plug-in.
I notice that there is an old thread on this that never got any solutions. I contacted Netgear but all they wanted to do was sell me a Service Contract and would not even tell me if there was an issue with the service at their end! I then had a friend try to send invites from his RPN2 (on a RN Ultra) which resulted in the invite to himself working and the one to me not. So it seems the issue is either in at their end or in the RNP2 add-on.
Does anyone else have issues sending invites recently? Have you been able to solve the issue and how?
Can anyone confirm if the service is working at Netgear's end?
Can anyone confirm if Netgear have acknowledged this is a known issue?

Yes. And those of some of the others I have tried to send invite to. Nothing. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhat's your case number?

- AstranomicalAspirantFurther information: I have also tried rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling RNP2 and finally reapplying the same firmware version. Obvious, none of that worked either.
