No one knew the root password except for the Netgear people who could pull up the ticket!
Why was I asked to provide root password in the first place? I thought it was strange at the time, but I trusted that was the established procedure. I believe I was later told that they really didn’t need my root password to log in. There was some sort of code that they asked me for that I got from the LED screen, I believe, and I think they used that to log in. This whole thing is bizarre!
