ReadyNAS Pro No Volume Exists #20437925
Panic level only at moderate here but is slowly rising so I'm REALLY hoping someone can help. Have looked through all the forums and bits make sense but I thought it may be easier to simply ask you all.
I have a Ready NAS Pro Business Edition [X-RAID2].
I had a disk fail for the first time last week. No issue there, just order a new one and wack it in (I thought). OK, did that. Redooted the system, it found the new disk and started to work it's magic. It informed me on the front panel it was working away but got to 60% ish and then stopped.
Have rebooted a few times and can still access it via RAIDar.
However there is no longer any volume.
Appreciate any help you can give.
Thanks in advance.

Why don't you publish the answer here to avoid everybody (including me) to post their own case? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThere are some issues which require expert assistance on a case by case basis from NetGear tech support.

Some issues require expert ... But MOST DON'T, and that makes it a collossal waste of people's time!

This is an issue that requires expert assistance.
One disks fails and then presumably another fails during the resync when adding a replacement disk. Some care is necessary in such cases especially if there is no up to date backup.
