ReadyNAS RN316 + Seagate ST3000DM001
I've just got a ReadyNAS RN316 and have upgraded the firmware to 6.1.8. I have some drives; one 4TB WD drive and one 3TB Seagate ST3000DM001. My understanding is that you should start an X-RAID2 with ...
I just tried zeroing the whole drive (it took just over 5hrs) with the command
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdf
I entered the drive into the Netgear ReadyNAS, rebooted, held the reset button in and selected 'Factory Reset' from the boot menu and hit OK.
I'm still getting the same error at this point 'ERR: Could not p'
