ReadyNAS shown on network but not accessible after upgrade to OS 6.5.0
I upgraded the OS today and got the ReadyCLOUD changeover completed to day successfully, however when I try to access the NAS through the 'Network' ( intranet ), it says that the device is inaccessib...
- May 31, 2016Yeah I have it sorted out for now... Dropping the ReadyCLOUD service for now. Rebooting clears it out too.

Hello NSDias,
If you have ReadyCloud app installed and logged in, this will open Windows credentials using the ReadyCloud login.
Can you try logging it out and remove Everyone from one of the shares then use the net use command in the DOS prompt. Then try to map the NAS IP again and login as admin.

Hi JennC,
Thank you for the suggestion.
I do not have any ReadyCloud app installed. But anyhow I followed your steps. Several shares are without the "Everyone" access, I used the net use command (retrieved no connections), checked that no credentials are associated with the NAS name or IP, and tried to map again. Still doesn't work on the win10 machine. No problems on win7.
I don't really want to create a new email account and have to change the Netgear ReadyCloud login and email associated... But all my home machines use win10, and not being able to acess with SMB after the FW update is crazy.
Any other ideas?
Thanks again

Hi Guys
I am experiencing the same issues after upgrade to 6.5.0. I am unable to access my shares using SMB with the admin account on windows 10. I have no users setup on my NAS as i am the only user the only user is the default admin.
Does anyone know if you can roll back to 6.4 firmware as 6.5.0 just seems a complete failure altogether. I have removed my readycloud account from my NAS and i still cannot access shares. Although i can access everything as normal from my windows 7 machine.
Would love to know if there is a fix.

Hello N SDias,
How about disabling then re-enabling SMB and resetting permission?
When accessing the shares locally and you do not have ReadyCloud desktop client logged in, and it prompts you for login, use the admin account you have used to login to the admin page. That is admin as username and password by default.
If that isn't working even after the net use command, reboot the computer. Can you also test other computers? Make sure by the way no firewall security software enabled.
Can you also post a screenshot of what you exactly see where it stops you from getting in to the shares?
Regards,

It seems the only connection enabling aspect after trying everything mentioned... is using the ReadyCLOUD App and clicking on a share then calling it up by IP in Network..... Everything solution has absolutely failed as of this point.... except that one and it really does not solve the problem...
Seems to be some wierd NETGEAR related issues .. my router and range extender has also be acting very strangely lately... My Router is also registered with ReadyCLOUD and my extender of course is accessed through it as well.. even trying to access the admin pages have become very spotty...
I hope that NETGEAR starts by looking at the ReayCLOUD app driver, certificates, and program... Then the firmware.. something has been overlooked in the new change over.. not that it is a bad thing because it only started working for my router after the update... but I think that there truly is an issue in both places. Really odd however lots of issues trying to post responses here as well.. all for another thread though... but Something def'ntly goin' on..
Would be nice if we had a front end app for turning it into a configurable and writeable server... and Emby front end as well.. but anyway.. not to get too offf topic.. :P
Still waiting for a solution..
