ReadyNas snapshots disapeared after 6.5 upgrade

I was unable to delete some older snapshots.  They were taking up almost 7TB of space.  So I upgraded the firmware.  Now I cant see those older snapshots but the system still shows that snapshots are taking up 7TB of space.  How can I delete those old, now unseen, snapshots?

Note:  I did attempt to reinstall the OS.  But when I get to the Boot Menu I can't do anything.  I press the up and down arrows and the screen still just displays "Boot Menu".

  • It might be recomputing the quotas.  I'd stay with the deletions (oldest snapshots first).  You can delete more than one at a time.

You might need netgear help on this (or just do a factory reset and rebuild the NAS).

It's possible to delete the snapshots via ssh, but that probably isn't enough.  It reclaims the space, but it doesn't fix the ReadyNAS SQL database.

      So I ran the following:

      # touch /.force_snapshots_upgrade
      # systemctl restart readynasd

That broght back the old snapshots but now my readynas is terribly slow.  Unusably slow.

Have you tried deleting the snapshots again?
