ReadyNAS Ultra 2 LAN slow

Ok I will try.
Two questions first.
I have installed OS6 to see if the speed was improving (no!) then root back now to OS4.
Which one you suggest for ReadyNAS Ultra 2?
WD is sending me a new HD but they run out of the exact same one as mine.
They are proposing me a different revision of the same hd, the WD30EFRX-68EUZN0, that according to internet is suffering an "Idle3 bug" (LCC value increasing).
Suggestions?
