ReadyNAS Ultra 2 Plus - Network Problems
I've made multiple calls to support and upgraded to RAIDiator-x86 4.2.21 and there is still some problem with network file services (CIFS). It seems the the NAS device wanders off the network from my MAC OS X 10.7.4. The whole device will just disappear. If I look at GO>Network, the thing is just missing. Of course the apps can't find the data. Then it will suddenly appear. Problem is it is corrupting my data bases when it disappears. We are using the NAS as a simple file server for about 3 Windows based machines and about 2 Mac's. REady NAS Remote works great from my Andriod phone, but no one has been able to get Remote to work on my Windows laptop. I've been struggling with the thing for about a month. I've been though a few firmware updates and a reflash of the OS. It is a shame, because I really liked the thing, but I keep getting the very nice Indian guy who tells me they really don't support Mac's. Beware trying to network this with a Mac, it just won't be reliable.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIt should work fine with a Mac. My ReadyNAS units work fine with my Macs. Are you able to edit the thread title (i.e. subject of first post in the thread) to include your case number?
Have you tried backing up your data and doing a factory reset (wipes all data, settings, everything) to get a clean setup on the latest firmware?
Do you Macs/PCs connect to the network via ethernet or wireless?
