ReadyNAS Ultra 2 won't boot up
Hi everyone, Been reading here awhile and decided to go and buy a ReadyNAS. Found a nice Ultra 2 on eBay (from a reputable seller) and went ahead and bought it. I received it today, but I can't ...
I've never tried inserting them w/o the trays. However, I suspect that will damage the connectors on the drives, since there is no strain relief.
You should try to get one tray anyway - otherwise you can't really tell if the ultra is functioning. There is always a risk in buying used.
