ReadyNAS Ultra 4 Plus Jumbo Frame Issue

I recieved my new Vergin Media "Super Hub" day before yesterday and it turns out my pc connects from my prosafe, then to the switch which is connected to the Ultra.
The MTU on the Prosafe (NETGEAR ProSafe Wireless-N VPN Firewall SRXN3205 Wireless router) is 1500 hence my delema. So im going plug the pc directly into the switch and see if this sorts out the problem. I could change the prosafe MTU, but I fear it may cause wifi issues. I did forget to add that to the list of hardware above as I didnt think it was routing that way.
