ReadyNAS with newest OS 6.9.4 hangs - no watchdogs

Hi,

I am using a ReadyNAS Pro 4 with Resilio Sync and sometimes it simply stopps working. I saw some watchdogs threads in SSH and thinking of why the watchdogs does not restart the NAS? Does anybody knows if the watchdogs are configured and should do its work?

Regards,

Nils

FWIW, your model tag is for the NV+, not the Pro-4.

Not something I would want.  One reason is that it would make troubleshooting more difficult.

By "it", do you mean Resilio Sync, or do you mean the ReadyNAS itself?

      Hi,

did not find Pro 4 Tag but my NAS is an RDN4000 if I am correct. So I decided for this tag.

The NAS is located in a different city and a hard reset is not that easy. It hang complety and is not reachable through SSH or something else. Even the LCD is locked so I have to do a hard shutdown pressing the power button for a while.

      Cheers,

      Nils

It's best to leave the tag out if you don't find your NAS. The pro-4 would be the RNDP4000, and the tag is in there (I put it my reply). The RND4000 is quite different (and can't run OS 6).

Ok. so it's the NAS hanging.  Do you have any other apps running on it?  Have you looked in the log zip file?
