Readynas524 Network reset to DHCP
I have a remote office with a Readynas524 configured with 2 static IP addresses (IPv4).
Over the lasy month the Readynas unit has diplayed a 'Network reset to DHCP' whenever the external backup drive is connected (weekly schedule). Any atttempt to run the backup by the end user results iin the network settings being changed to DHCP, new IP addresses assigned.
Why is the Readynas resetting the network connections to DHCP?
Any help would be appreciated.

ReadyNAS firmware?
Just plugging the USB disk does reset to DHCP?
What operations process is used exactly by the user to run the backup?
Good network management policy would be to add DHCP MAC-IP reservations for fallback and security reasons.
