If you could explain what you mean by 'direct-connect', then yes, I can try that. Trying that IP in the Windows explorer address bar gets me "Cannot find.. try spelling.." message. I used to have a cross-over cable, but it looks like I don't anymore. Can I direct-connect with a USB cable?
Network topology is:
Netgear hub1
- desktop 192.168.15.102
- ReadyNAS NV 192.168.15.101
- sometimes a laptop
hub1 -> Linksys Router/Firewall/VoIP box -> DSL modem
Also have another switch/firewall at the level of hub1, but I'm not trying to access from there... yet.
