Reallocated sector count has increased with each startup
I don't know what this means nor how to fix it. I bought the Readynas Ultra 2 about a year ago. The power supply failed so had the main unit (kept the original disks) swapped for a refurbished unit...

(a) disk 1 is certainly failing and should have been replaced months ago (430 reallocated sectors in April!). Reallocated sectors cannot be created by any NAS failure.
(b) the only failure I see in your posts is that the volume is degraded (with the side effect that scrubbing is skipped). The volume of course remains degraded/non-redundant even if you remove a drive. The only way to fix it is to replace the failing drive and resync. You haven't given us any reason to think the other drive has failed. Are there other failures that you are seeing? Are the SMART+ stats on the other disk concerning?
