Recent change - crawling slow speed accessing NAS
Although I have been plagued long term by the same problem others have posted about (slow browsing of large NAS directories on Mac OS) my NAS was behaving fairly well for its most common uses - stream...
Netgear support suggested connecting the NAS directly to a PC or Mac by Ethernet and test speeds. Did that and things look great. Even better than before the problem that initiated this thread. My network here is a very simple/typical home network; cable modem, WiFi router and separate switch (just needed some more ports). Anyone have any idea how to continue to troubleshoot?
