We can't access the private ip 192.168.168.168. - Deaf_Raiders1AspirantFinally I can access my NAS eveytime I try to download and install 4.1.8 I saids local file failed. What extension is the update file. I just get .8 at the end of it which is not an extension.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIt doesn't have an extension, just right click on the link to the firmware download the file, then upload via System > Update > Local.

Yes this all it saids. No information of the error why it failed. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIs your NAS picking up an IP now? If so can you try to install this add-on?: http://www.readynas.com/download/addons/4.1/Enable_Remote_Access_1.0.bin
If it works let support know the 5-digit ID that you get. - Deaf_Raiders1Aspiranti assign my old static IP again after the customer service mess up all my IP address poor customer service support from them. I will try that and install that, when I get home tonight. I don't really trust the support. I leave the NAS on tomorrow morning would you be able to access it and resolve the issue.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredI suggest you continue to work with NetGear support on this issue.
- RabbieAspirantPlease give us a remote access to you unit(forward port 443 or open ssh and forward port 22), you aslo can give a teamviewer access to your pc.
