I don't think emails would be blocked by the firewall and I don't think they would be blocked by an ISP provided they are sent via a method that requires authentication.
Have you checked your Spam/Junk Mail folder.
If all else fails you could try e.g. setting up a Gmail account and getting that to forward the emails on.
