RN 214 start up issues.

I am unsure if this is a good thing or have I wasted a bit of money?

I am attempting to use my RNAS Device over the cloud, but that is just another issue. I have 4 discs installed and all are working fine. I have installed the most up to date software for RAIDar (V6.2) and Cloud (1.13) the NAS drive is up to firmware 6.5.

When I start my drive I continually receive the codes;

  1. (null)+0
  2. phy_ethtool_set_wol+4
  3. do_exit+890.

Can anyone please assist why these continually come on. With No 2 above, only 2 hard drives get the green light (1 & 2).

I have my router setting an IP address associated with the MAC address so the NAS is set to DHCP controlled.

Occasionally the NAS works, but more often then not it sticks at these codes above. When the drive runs up RAIDar diagnostics say all is fine!

I apologise for not returning replies instantly as I am away a lot and away from home so I am unable to further this immediately or try other actions.

Once I hacve sorted these issues I can then attempt to resolve the Ready Cloud problems that I am having.

  • All seems working fine after the firware update (fingers crossed) now to go to the Cloud issue community. Many Thanks.

    Could you disable WoL and then update to 6.6.0 and see if you still have the same issue?

      I have read the directions for the Firmware upgrade to go to the lower version before going on to version 6 and now have the code al_eth_set_wol+54.

      Once I get the system up and running I shall hopefully give further information. The WOL function is now disabled.
