RN 422 Volume recovery
Hi all,
Hopefully someone out there will have the expertise to help me recover my data.
I have a RN 422 with 2 x 4TB drives running in Raid 1 configuration. All has been good until a month ago it started playing up. Failing to boot and an error message on the screen. After some investigation by myself I purchased a replacement drive fitted it and powered on the unit. From what I have learnt now I believe I did the wrong thing.
I have not been able to access my data for about a month now and don't have a back-up. I thought Raid 1 ensured a back-up (mirror) but I have since learnt not.
This is what I can see if I log into my NAS. Disk 1 is the original and Disk 2 is new blank and formatted.

First: DON'T remove the volumes - that will make data recovery much harder (likely impossible).
There could be more information in the full log zip file (which you can download from the logs page). It can be very hard to unpack - but I can take a look at it for you. If you'd like me to do that, then put it into cloud storage (dropbox, google drive, etc), and send ma a private message (PM) with a link. Make sure the permissions are set so anyone with the link can download. You can send a PM using the envelope icon in the upper right of the forum page.
Don't post the link publically, as there is some privacy leakage when you do that.

Do you still have the original disk 2? (intact, not reformatted)?

Yes I have both of the original disks 1 & 2 plus an all new 4tb drive.
I thought just replacing the bad drive with a new one would solve my problem but it hasn't. I have put both the original drives back in, booted in read only mode and this is what I can see. I have sent you a link to the log file, thank you for the help.
