I understand supported assisted with updating the firmware of the system to 6.2.4 then to 6.5.2 and then on to 6.6.0 and this resolved the problem.

Does RAIDar see the ReadyNAS? If so, what status and firmware does it show? ( http://kb.netgear.com/20684/ReadyNAS-Downloads?cid=wmt_netgear_organic#raidar )
If this was purchased new, you also have 90 day phone support available to you. You'd register the product at my.netgear.com, and go from there.
