RN104 Issues
I got my RN104 & installed 2 X 3TB Reds. I powered up & it took about 16 hours to resync. I fully understand but I want separate volumes & RAID 0. I can't get RAIDar to find the NAS. I have the RN104 ...

The 169.254 address is indeed a specific IP range that is reserved for APIPA addresses (cf : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_ ... Addressing)
A mask in 169.254.0.0 is indeed impossible as mask since 169 gives 10101001 in binary and masks stop at the first "0" in the binary code so the closest one would be 128.0.0.0 here, which by the way is not allowed for any kind of private address to my knowing.
You don't need RAIDar to configure the RN104, this can be done via the web interface.
As said by stephen, volumes are not available through network by default. You have to create shares for which you will set rights.
