RN10400 Can't access through windows 10. Element not found. Network path not found
Hi everyone,
My apologies if this has been asked and answered before, but I cannot find the right solution to my problem and am not very network/NAS savvy.
I have a RN10400 which up until a week agos was working fine on 2 Windows 10 computers. I use my NAS as storage for Media and stream to TV's and Xbox.
I see there have been some issues with the latest NAS update to 6.5.1 which is what my system is running. I'm not sure if that is my problem or not. Coincidentally I changed cables from my router (Telstra Gateway Max) and problems appeared not long after - however that only affected one PC and I still can access internet on that PC. Xbox is in another room and that appears to be streaming fine (I'm using Plex), as does accessing the NAS from my iPhone.
On my PC's I can see the NAS showing up in the Network in File Explorer. When I try to click to open, I get a popup saying windows cannot access that location. Error code Ox80070035 Network Path Not found. At another oint I got a popup which said "Element Not Found", but just at the moment I can't replicate or remember where I got that one from.
I've tried a few things I found online, in terms of IpV4 properties from within windows, did a system refresh on one of the PC's with no change.
I'd really like some help in sorting this out, as my kids are driving me nuts because they can't watch any of their movies, tv that are located on the NAS.
Not sure what info you might need, so if you let me know I can find and post that.
Thanks in advance for any help you all may be able to give me.

Usually this is a credentials issue (and something did change in 6.5.1).
Try this and let me know if it works:
Open CMD (you can enter "CMD" in the windows search bar). Then enter
net use * /delete
net use t: \\nasname\data /user:admin nasadminpassword
using the real nas name (or IP address) instead of nasname, and the real NAS admin password. Be careful with your typing - spaces and slash direction both matter.
The first command will terminate any open connections to the NAS from the PC. If it prompts for confirmation, let it proceed. The second should map the NAS data volume to drive letter T.
If this works, then we can follow up with a better solution (entering appropriate credentials in the windows credentials manager).

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for the assist. Unforunately this did not seem to work.
Am assuming that doing in Windows\system is the correct path here? Or do I need to change to another path first?
THanks,

I recall hearing that accessing the data volume this way only works after you change the password from the default (not 100% sure of that though).
So try changing the NAS admin password to something else, and then try the commands again with the changed password.
