Thanks for reply, but contacting tech support is easier said then done. I tried several times now but get in a 'loop'.
I live in the Netherlands and when I dial the support number it tells me after a lot of automatic choices that I need to create a case number on the web. When I (try to) do so it tells me I need to contact support as I no longer have an active support service. Thus I dial support. Then after lots of menu options I need to go to the website to create a case....
So not working. Any suggestions for those not living in US? Is there a weboption to buy a support subscirption?

When you login to my.netgear.com and view your registered products you should see the option to purchase a contract for the ReadyNAS.
