Rn204 backups are not completing - again
This is another occurrance of something that hapened back in 2016 ( see : after 6.5.2 update backups pc to NAS do not complete )
my weekly updates from PC to NAS were working ok - then went on 4 week holiday - now they do not complete.
the update reports starting - then in progress - and sits there doing nothing other than the update button on my NAS is flashing.
have tried making a test update from PC to NAS - same thing happens. tested the access to source in bakcup settings and that was OK.
I also have NAS updates to a usb connected hard drive... those work OK.
this previous situation lasted for many weeks while discussions were ongoing mostly between me and 'mdgm'
eventually - I gave access to my system for an engineer to look at it; updates then worked OK again. I did ask via private message to 'mdgm' what had been changed - but did not get answer.
now I need to know as my backups are no longer working. this is a situation I do not like.
please assist.

This has now been identified as an error in the backup process not recognising error response from PC. a Windows update had set my PC network profile to default which turned on password checking. when I tested a source access in the settings on the backup - the PC returned invalid username and password .
this is not being recognised by the backup process so just hangs in the start of the process for ever more.
I am sure that this was reconised in earlier firmware versions - I have reported this in a new discussion so will close this one.
