RN316 - problems after 6.7.4 - not booting
I upgraded to 6.7.4 a few days ago, and shut the system down a couple days after that. When I tried to reboot, I got "mount_block_root +1f1" error. I found discussion about fixing that with USB recovery and latest 6.7.4 - "RN516 "mount_block_root + 1f1" after os 6.7.3 update" I built the usb, and booted it, and let it run until it shutdown.
After that, when I try to boot, the system hangs at "booting" message. Pressing reset at boot also hangs at "booting", so I cannot get to menu to restore system.
I saw todays discussion about the RN314 that would not boot (RN312 major problems after 6.7.4 - will not boot) where the fix involved using custom initrd and kernel. I built that USB recovery, but that seems to boot to where the NAS is in a diagnostic mode, and I cannot login via raidar or telnet - it does not accept my admin password.
Any advice on how to get back to where I can restore or reset the firmware would be appreciated. I have a backup, if I need to restore entire system - I just need to get to where system will perform the actions.

Well getting the system into this state is better than not being able to get it to do anything.
Your system booted to a low level diagnostic mode suitable for support.

I have the exact same issue, but I havent gotten it to the diagnostic mode.
Still trying different flash drives, and trying rufus.
I can get it to "booting from external usb" but t seems to hang there, or some drives it will go back to booting then fails.

mdgm - thank you very much for getting my nas back up and running via the support connection. It's looking great now!
- MacRobAspirantYes MBR AND ONLY 1 partition.
This is my only ReadyNAS.
