RND-4A, error: no disk detected
ReadyNAS RNDP4420, RND-4A. 1 disk inserted 320Gb,formatted with Windows
PC, running W7
PC and NAS connected via switch to internet
The RND-4A was not used for years and all original disks are gone.
When I power-on the NAS the display "error: no disks detected".
Raidar 4.3.8 gives following info:
MAC address/host name/IP address
The "i" should give me "Status/Version" but nothing is displayed.
The "Status" and "Browse" are grayed out.
Left from the MAC address is a steady blue dot.
Connecting to "Frontview" using https:/<IPNAS>/admin results in "unable to connect" same with FF and IE.
If I use the "Frontview" even without disks inserted should I get the status of the NAS?

Are you seeing anything on the LCD screen? Did you try doing a factory install from the front panel? ( http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RNDU2000/ReadyNAS_Ultra_UltraPlus_NVX_Pro_HW_en_8July11.pdf )
Normally you want to insert blank (unformatted) disks, so it might be worth deleting the existing partitions with windows disk manager.
