thanks mdgm for the welcome and quick response.
Currently the box is running 4.2.21, (I can just move straight to newest FW right, its not required to build version after version right?) I upgraded the FW did that before migrating any of my data to it, I'm just not familiar with what the resultant storage space should be after dropping 2 3TB drives into the box, I thought maybe above 3TB just slightly, but I haven't played w/ backup/storage in a long time so I can't remember what I should be expecting.
I've done the reboot w/ volume scan as per some of the online documentation has indicated along w/ enable/disable Journaling. Just need some details on how to calculate what the storage size should be after 2- 3TB are put in and what size should I expect after popping in another 3TB.. thou I'm more inclined to just populate the rest. Thou current cost of storage is pretty cost prohibitive currently for home use since I can't write that $$ off lol..
