RNDP6000-200EUS vs RNDP6000-200NAS
Hi
I'm getting confused - are the above basically the same model or are they different in some way?
In the UK only the "RNDP6000-200EUS" seems to be generally available...I'm hoping that this is basically the ReadyNAS Pro 6 diskless with the Intel multicore 2.8GHz processor?
Is the "EUS" bit just referring to the fact that it's for the UK or Europe perhaps?
TIA,
Jason.

- beisser1Tutordifferent powercable is the only difference.
- JasoooooAspirantThanks for the clarification Beisser :D
- vandermerweMasterJasooooo, I don't know that this is the one you are looking for - be careful.
The RNDP6000-200EUS is I think the old PRO business edition.
The new one should be the Readynas Pro 6 and sold as RNDP6310-200. I don't think there is a diskless version available in the UK as there is for the old PRO BE.
I may be wrong but the price of the RNDP6000-200EUS suggests it is EOL. - vandermerweMasterWell - I think I am actually wrong - and now also very angry.
I have just bought an Ultra 6 plus for £725, I now see I could have bought a pro 6 with much faster processor and longer warranty for £15 more from the same online store (Kikatek)
This is very strange - according to a few stores I have checked I can buy a pro 6 diskless RNDP6000-200EUS for around £800, a 3x1TB version RNDP6310-200EUS costs around £1250. There has to be a problem with the diskless unit being the old model or 3x1TB drives are adding £450 to the price which is absurd.
What is going on with Netgear's pricing here - ripping off home users, or is this a problem with resellers not identifying products correctly.
I assumed the Pro 6 would be significantly more expensive so didn't even look at it - my fault I suppose, but the price point of the 2 products is almost identical.
Can anyone from Netgear clarify what is going on here? - yoh-dahGuideNETGEAR doesn't control reseller pricing.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredI would return the Ultra 6 Plus. You can migrate you disks to the Pro6. Pro6 has 2 years extra warranty and faster CPU. Not to mention extra features.
- JasoooooAspirantI think the old model "Pro Business Edition" is the 100EUS - that's what I've read on these forums anyway (happy for someone to correct me if I'm wrong of course).
vandermerwe: I almost bought an Ultra 6 Plus too - I've been waiting for it to be in stock in the UK for months now - then noticed just before I bought it that the new Pro 6 was only a few £ more. The pricing is indeed slightly odd.
Is there any way you can return your U6P?
Which stores are you looking at for the prices (not sure if we're allowed to talk about stores on here so PM me if you want).
Thanks,
Jason - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe RNDP6000-100 was the Pro Business Edition. The 200 indicates the 2nd generation of the product. NetGear does it with there other products e.g. the GS108Tv2 switch is the GS108T-200.
The Ultra 6 Plus is the RNDP600U-200. Note the U in the name. It's also a second generation product as the first gen of this was the Pro Pioneer RNDP600E.
The 2 and 4-bay Ultras and Pros and the Ultra 6 (not Plus) are first gen products using Atom CPUs so they have -100 at the end of the model number, before the region identifier.
There's no problem mentioning the store you purchased your NAS from or where you're considering purchasing from. But if you say worked for or had some other interest in a reseller and went around spamming, by promoting it in lots of posts then that would be a problem. - JasoooooAspirantUseful info - thanks mdgm.
- vandermerweMasterOf course you-dah is correct, however Netgear does control product information on their website. The information provided does not list a diskless Pro 6 unit on either the uk nor USA site. Netgear should also be concerned about customer satisfaction. The situation where 1 lesser product costs as much as a better product with longer warranty will lead to unhappy customers like myself, particularily when it was so difficult to be aware of the alternative, better product. The prices for the populated units are disproportionately high (3x1tb unit effectively adds 450 pounds for the disks. It's therefore only on these forums that I discovered the existence of the diskless unit, and too late. I can't return the ultra 6 plus without incurring a 15% restocking fee as I purchased it 4 weeks ago.
The store I'm looking at is Kikatek
