Rsync only takes Windows, not Apple files/folders off ReadyN
Hello ReadyNAS users, I set up an rsync from a 3rd party device to pull a folder directly from my Mac, no problem. Everything seemed to come across just fine. I set up an rsync from the same thing ...

Thanks for your reply.
Not sure what you mean by v1 or v2, but its one of the original silver units. Likely to be a v1, I had a RND4000, the power supply failed under warranty, I moved the drives into a new identical unit, the 2nd unit power supply failed also and I moved them back into the refurbished unit and its been years between these events so its quite old.
I don't have sshd set up on this ReadyNAS. I work with these files all the time between OS-X 10.8 and Windows8 I am pretty sure everything should be world read/write/execute, it seems systematic on a where the files came from basis, not the result of a bad umask. I only use "Guest" logins on the NAS, no security what so ever.
I'll dig a little further and report back with the exact rsync command in a few hours.

What is the full command line you are using?
Can you see all the file/folders from an ssh login, and check the ownership/permissions, i.e. "ls -al"
I just did this over the last few days migrating GBs from a Duo v1 to an NV+ v2 and it worked for all types of files (from XP, Win7, Vista, Mac and Linux).
