rsync path limitation?
The first time trying to set up rsync between two NAS on a local network. Should be easy but am running into problems. Want to backup a Pro6 to a NVX. The Pro6 is assigned a static IP address of 19...

Thanks... Frustrating problem.
Both the Pro6 and the NVX subnet masks are set to 255.255.255.0 and have the same Default gateway as well.
I don't have a PC (5 macs in the house). The Shares are set with AFP and Rsync services.
AFP service on the NVX is set to 'Default Access' read-only with only only one write-enabled user set (in fact only one user is defined for the entire NVX since it will be used for backups only -- at least if I get this working). Rsync on the NVX is set to 'Default Access' read/write.
I checked, and over APF, I can add and delete files from both 'tst' and 'InstallerImages' in the NVX. Same is true on the pro6.
Not sure what you mean by entering the pro admin credentials in the nvx backup job. If you mean adding "admin" for login in "Select backup source" and putting in my NVX password then I did try that and it had no affect. I originally was going to require a Rsync passwoerd option but I eliminated that since I was having the more basic problem connecting.
