Is the NAS using NIC teaming?
yes, active backup mode enabled (so as I understand, using one of the network cards)
Does anything change if you disconnect the second ethernet cable?
No
What do you do to recover access? Does it just come back on its own? If so, how long does it stay unreachable?
What's the usage of the RN2120? Bit rot protection enabled? Snapshots? Rsync backup jobs? Is it under load when the issue occurs?
Is the data volume healthy? Unbalanced? Metadata allocation? (Beginning of btrfs.log from the log archive you can download)
Do you use quotas? Is quota accounting enabled on the volume (Settings of the volume)?
