- spudz72AspirantAnyone manage to get a hold of one of these yet? I'm anxious to get some for my NV anyone can confirm they work.
- chirpaLuminaryWe're still testing them for HCL quals, don't have a timeframe for it yet.
- spudz72AspirantThanks. Looking forward to that and hoping for good news...
- schwerdAspirantAvailable now for pre-order at nowdirect.com for $227.99 and it says shipping 9/25.
Available on amazon.com for $215.99 and says shipping in 2-5 weeks - chirpaLuminaryBuy.com has them for pre-order at $199, and you can use an 8% coupon for up to $20 off.

http://www.buy.com/retail/coupon.asp?prid=80231737 - spudz72AspirantCan you confirm the buy.com coupon works for this? I tried it and it would not take it for me. It did say only available for pre-order and in stock items and this shows out of stock rather then pre-order on their site.
- sorjaiAspirantAn alternative is to order it from Newegg (limit 1). They have it for 190 shipped (OEM), and you can get 3% cash back with live (which unfortunately takes about 75 days to get)
- NowdirectAspirantHi schwerd, My name is Patrick and I work at nowdirect.com, thanks for your mention of our nowdirect.com website. We did just get an update from Seagate and they pushed out our ETA date until the 30th now, maybe its because we ordered over 25,000 of them, LOL. So, we should hopefully have plenty of stock the first week of October.
We would like to offer the readyNAS board members a great special. We will match the price $199.99. So, if you order the ST31500341AS from us just add this promo code in the cart and it will adjust to the $199.99 price.
PROMOCODE: READYNAS
code valid for ST31500341AS only and expires 10/7/08.
I hope this is ok, I am not meaning to spam the forum with an ad. I just thought I would update you with our shipping ETA and help offer you a good deal. I will try to check out the forum more and help with any questions. I was using the readyNAS boxes back when they were Infrant and am a customer too. - schwerdAspirantnowdirect......
an excellent offer...and thanks for the honest and direct communication about shipping dates....it would have been easy for you to take the orders, not ship, and blame the manufacturer....
I know the readers of the netgear forums appreciate the forthright business behavior....
I have been a nowdirect customer in the past....and will continue to be one....
thanks for the update. - spudz72Aspirant
chirpa wrote: When we have some to test for the Hardware Compatibility List, we'll let you know. If some users get ahold of it before then, they can try it out. The NAS will be able to handle up to 16TB disks as the maximum volume size is 64TB currently.
Have you received any of these drives yet? They are now shipping and many people have gotten them already. I ordered one of them myself, which should be in in a few days. If I wanted to test it myself can I just try one drive or do I need to have 4 of them to know for sure it it is going to work properly?
