who'd you order from?
what price did you get?
delivery lag??? weeks??? amazon is still showing 2-4 weeks - zxgatesAspirantHi all,
Installed 4.1.4 for the 1.5tb drive support, but I probably did something wrong as I'm not getting the full capacity of the drives.
Have 3 1.5 TB drives, all show up in NV as such. 2 show a capacity of 1.5tb and 1 drive shows a capacity of 652MB. Total available space is 652MB (733MB under Windows explorer). I tried moving the drives around to see if the would force an expansion, but no luck.
Is there something I need to do to force an "expansion" or "initialize" the disks to get the full 3TB that should be online?
Thank you!
(Some background: Before installing the 4.1.4 version, I installed 1 drive which gave the 652MB capacity (maybe this caused the problem?). Then installed the other 2 drives and the blue power light just blinked slowly for about a day, then faster after that, but the NV never came up. After installing 4.1.4, NV comes up with the above noted capacity of 652MB, even through the device sees all three drives) - spudz72Aspirant

How many 1.5tb drives do you have installed? It's you only have 3 of them installed and say your 4th drive is a 750gb you will only get use of the extra space on the drives once you install a 4th 1.5tb drive. I could be wrong but the way I understood it you will only get to use the size of the smallest drive in your readynas. So three 1.5tbs and 1 750gb is basicly still like having 4 750gb drives until you add the 4th. - chirpaLuminaryAfter installing 4.1.4, do a factory default, should use the max space on them then.
- zxgatesAspirantThanks Chirpa, that did the trick (I only have 3 1.5tb drives, nothing smaller).
System now shows 2779GB using X-Raid. Next week should have a 4th 1.5tb drive to add and test.
Giving it a good read/write workout now....
Thanks again for the quick patch!!!!
(p.s. just saw the final version of 4.1.4 posted...is that the same one I d/l yesterday or should I upgrade?) - chirpaLuminarySame one. You are fine.
- spudz72AspirantI see that raidiator 4.1.4 added support for the 1.5tb drives, but just because this was added doesn't mean the ST31500341AS is now on the HCL does it? Or does it?
- masterashAspirantGuys,
Is there anyway to get Seagate 1.5TB HDD shipped to AUS. It is costly here. Starts at $300+
Thanks - NowdirectAspirantnowdirect.com has the ST31500341AS drives in stock now. We got our first shipment. only about 4,600 pieces left in stock. We decided to offer an even better price too. $189.99 with free ground shipping. Come on over to nowdirect.com if you need some.
- contempt1AspirantI posted on the compatibility thread asking if there was official compatibility before I found this thread. Wondering if anyone has had any problems with these drives?
FYI, ZipZoomFly.com has them for $179.99. Was going to order 4 and upgrade all my 750GB drives.
